New IOTA Occultation Videotape Observations

Auf früheren ESOP-Treffen wurde bereits das IOTA-Occultation-Video vorgestellt.
Hier sollen die herausragenden Ereignisse,
einschließlich einiger aktuellen Videoaufnahmen der letzten zwei Jahre, präsentiert werden.

The latest version of IOTA's occultation videotape has been shown at previous ESOP meetings. Some of the best parts of the earlier tapes will be shown for those who haven't seen them before, as well as some of the more spectacular recent video results. These include the Aldebaran grazes of 1998 September 12, the bright-limb graze of Regulus recorded in Baja California on 1999 May 22, the direct camcorder recording of an occultation of 4.8-mag. sigma Aquarii on 1998 Nov. 26, the first successful remote (unattended) video graze observations, and an interesting occultation of the bright triple system zeta Cancri obtained on 1999 February 26.

A flash of the Starshine satellite, just released from the Space Shuttle, was also recorded among the star background with an image-intensified wide-angle system on 1999 June 5.
